Grapes: Sangiovese

Character: The wine is young and intense with a deep sun-ripened cherry fruitiness that offers great finesse with complex nuances of cypress, pine and fine cigar tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, also young and primary fruity with a refreshing acidity, clear but fine tannin structure and elegance. 

Goes well with: Excellent with meat dishes; veal, lamb and cow. 

About the wine: The wine has a slight cedar nuance from the oak barrels. This is an excellent and serious Chianti Classico. Chianti Classico wines must be aged for at least one year before being released for sale. This wine has been aged for one year and ten months in 500-liter French oak barrels, known as tonneaux. 30% of the barrels were new.
