Henriot Brut Souverain

Grapes: 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier

Character: Complex, very fresh, with notes of cake with fresh citrus fruits, stone fruit, preserved lemon, and white cherry. 

Goes well with:
Excellent as an aperitif, or with white fish or seafood dishes.

About the wine: Brut Souverain is a blend of 29 crus. The Chardonnay comes mostly from the famous Côte des Blancs and the Pinot Noir mostly from the Montagne de Reims. A small amount of Pinot Meunier gives a delicate fruity note to the wine. The wine consists of 30 to 50% reserve wine.  The dosage is 7g/L and and the wine is aged three years in the cellar before release.
