Six Generations in Champagne
Eric Petitjean is the sixth generation to own and produce wine in Champagne. The family dates back to 1846. But it was in 1875 that Pol Cochet first planted and started producing his first champagne. In the 1990s, however, the story came to an end when Eric's father started selling off the family vineyards. The sales included the sale of the family's Ambonnay vineyards to Krüg. As recently as 2008, Eric decided to change this and started buying back vineyards. Now they have a total of 6.5 ha around Champagne.
