Character: Chapoutier Les Granilites Blanc is a full-bodied and flavorful white wine from Saint-Joseph. The aroma is fresh and aromatic with hints of pear and fresh stone fruits such as peach and apricot. The taste is intensely aromatic and full-bodied in a mineral-rich style with a creamy note in the long finish. 

Goes well with: Excellent with light fish and seafood dishes.

About the wine: 100% marsanne in grape typical style. The wine is organic. The vines grow in granite-rich clay soils with good drainage, which gives an original tightness, freshness and minerality. The vineyards face south-east in the Charnas, Tournon and Mauves areas. When the weather is dry and the sun is shining, the grapes are harvested by hand. The grapes are pressed immediately on arrival at the winery and kept refrigerated for 48 hours. Fermentation takes place with the natural yeast of the grapes and the wine is aged for 8 months on its lees. 75% of the wine is in stainless steel tanks and the remaining 25% in 600 liter oak barrels.
