M.Chapoutier Granges de Mirabel Viognier

Grapes: Grenache blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette and Bourboulenc.

Character: Domaine des Granges De Mirabel offers a deep, golden yellow color. The wine is grapey and floral in the typical grape style with hints of apricot, pear and marmalade. 

Goes well with: Excellent with light fish and seafood dishes.

About the wine: The Viognier grape has a clear identity which is reflected in the character of the wine by contributing a typically round and fresh notes. The volcanic soils consisting of limestone and clay add to the character of the wine. The grapes for Granges De Mirabel are harvested early in the morning before the sun has warmed the grapes. Vinification takes place at low temperature in temperature-controlled steel tanks and the fermentation process starts from the grapes' own natural yeast. Aging then takes place in large steel tanks. The wine is bottled in spring the year after harvest.
