Grapes: Tempranillo and Grenache

Character: Complex and refined profile, this year characterized by a more pronounced fruity component. Balsamic and Mediterranean notes intertwine with woody hints of pepper and nutmeg, along with a delicate sweet note that refines the bouquet.

Goes well with: Pairs well with grilled pork, chorizo, hearty lentil stew, and Asian dishes such as chicken satay and pork adobo.

About the wine: The Tempranillo comes from their usual vines between Sajazarra and Fonzaleche. The Grenache comes from old vineyards in the Rioja Baja, in Cardenas. Harvested in small baskets. 10 to 20% of the grapes are not de-stemmed. Fermentation with the indigenous yeasts from the vineyard. Then 14 months of ageing in vats of various ages and capacities.
