Maison Trenel is part of M. Chapoutier and shares one of the values that has put Chapoutier on the wine map; a shared desire to make the very best wine possible. They produce both wine and fruit distillates like Crème de Cassis, and make both with equal enthusiasm. Authenticity is the hallmark of the house, where the pure expression of terroir is what has made Trenel's wines so popular. Beaujolais and Burgundy are the focus areas and wines are produced from several smaller appellations within these, ranging from the lesser known Viré-Clessé in Burgundy to Morgon in Beaujolais.
