Alpha Zeta started as a collaboration between David Gleave from the English wine importer Liberty Wines and the skilled winemaker Matt Thompson from New Zealand in 1999. The idea behind Alpha Zeta is to create modern wines from local grape varieties that reflect the beautiful area around Verona. All this at an affordable price with good quality and balance in the glass. Over the years, Matt has built long-term relationships with local farmers who supply Alpha Zeta with the best possible quality from attractive locations on the slopes around Verona, instead of buying bulk wine as many cheaper alternatives do. This ensures the quality and character that make the area so unique.
