Prestige in Tokaj

Grand Tokaj is one of the most prestigious producers of sweet Tokaj wines in Hungary, but also makes dry wines. The winery is located in Tokaj-Hegyalja with 67 hectares of its own, and it also has access to 1,000 smaller, contracted winegrowers. The Tokaj-Hegyalja region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and since August 2021, a foundation has owned Grand Tokaj, with the aim of spreading knowledge about the region, its wines and its rich history. This has also enabled investment in the facilities and today they work with modern equipment that results in wines of a very high standard. Both the 2017 and 2018 vintages of Grand Tokaj Szamorodni have been awarded gold medals at the major Meininger Wine Awards in Germany, most recently in 2022 for the 2018 vintage.
