A Dairy Farm to Winery

More than a century ago, Fox Run was a dairy farm and the first vines were first planted in 1984. In 1990, founders Larry and Adele Wildrick converted the dairy farm into a winery. In 1994, Scott Osborn and his first business partner Andy Hale purchased the vineyard from the Wildricks. With 50 acres of vineyards facing east on glacial soils, Fox Run Vineyards produces a remarkable range of estate wines in limited quantities. Since then, Scott has worked closely with the winemakers, whose philosophy is a science-based and rationalist approach to winemaking. The team strives to achieve a creative expression of each grape variety, giving Fox Run an abundance of delicious and refreshing wines. This would not be possible without the skill of Vineyard Manager John Kaiser, who has worked at Fox Run since 1984, and without the contributions of Assistant Winemaker, Ashley McCaffrey.
