A Family Legacy in Champagne
Since 1818, Billecart-Salmon has been a family-run champagne house based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, now helmed by the 8th generation. Over two centuries, they've established a reputation for crafting elegant and captivating champagnes. Notably, Billecart-Salmon pioneered the cold stabilization technique and meticulously avoids oxidation, resulting in their signature style: fruit-forward with remarkable finesse.
Sweden holds a unique place in Billecart-Salmon's history. During Richard Juhlin's prestigious Millennium tasting in 1999, not only did their 1959 vintage win the coveted title of "Champagne of the Millennium," but their 1961 vintage secured a remarkable second place.
