The Wieninger family has been in the wine business for over a hundred years, but since his arrival, Fritz Wieninger has brought a more modern approach. This innovator has advanced the winery’s position without losing sight of the artisanal heritage he manages, making him one of the leading figures in the “New Vienna” movement. Weingut Wieninger consists of 50 hectares of biodynamically cultivated vineyards mainly at Bisamberg and the somewhat smaller Nussberg, on either side of the Danube River.

Fritz is not only an innovator but also a dynamic winemaker who, with his fine raw materials and great expertise, has managed to produce a long line of top wines. Wieninger is known in his homeland for his barrel-aged Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the top series “Grand Select” and the spicy Bordeaux blend “Danubis Grand Select.”
